Product Leader & Builder

Umut Dokuzelma — a product leader and builder working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, consumer technology, and digital experiences.

Turning ambitious ideas into products people actually use.

About.

Curious by nature.
A builder by choice.

Umut Dokuzelma

I’ve always been more interested in building things than simply talking about them.

What drives me is the journey from an ambitious idea to something real. The uncertainty, the experimentation, the difficult decisions, and the moment when everything finally comes together.

My career has taken me through consumer platforms, sports technology, and artificial intelligence. Different industries, different challenges, but the same motivation: understanding people, solving meaningful problems, and creating experiences that make technology genuinely useful.

I believe great products are built at the intersection of curiosity, clarity, and execution. They require asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and bringing people together around a shared vision.

Today, my focus is on AI-native experiences and the ways intelligent technology can reshape how people interact with everyday products.

I’m a product leader by profession, a builder by instinct, and someone who believes the most interesting things are still ahead of us.

Always curious. Always building.

Experience.

Different chapters. One constant: building.

Migros One

More

Leading AI-powered experiences at the intersection of commerce and everyday life.

At Migros One, I lead AI product initiatives and B2C web experiences, combining product strategy, technical collaboration, and execution to build the next generation of digital shopping experiences.

As Product Lead for Maya AI, I own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, user experience, and rollout of a conversational shopping assistant designed to make grocery shopping more intuitive and personalized.

I lead an 11-person cross-functional team, working closely with engineering and AI leads to bring conversational commerce capabilities into production.

My work spans product discovery, intelligent recommendations, basket building, personalization, voice interactions, product intelligence, and transactional shopping experiences.

Maya AI users demonstrate approximately 20% higher basket size, 10% higher order conversion, and 15% higher add-to-cart conversion, reflecting the potential of AI-powered experiences to improve the shopping journey.

I also led the product development of Migros’ MCP-based ChatGPT App, extending product discovery and basket-building capabilities into ChatGPT.

Alongside AI initiatives, I own B2C web product operations, collaborating with two Scrum teams and more than 20 engineers while aligning priorities across business stakeholders, design, technology, and external partners.

Novus

More

Turning agentic AI from technical possibility into usable products.

At Novus, I worked on DOT, an agentic AI platform designed to help organizations build, orchestrate, and operate intelligent agents.

My focus was on translating emerging AI capabilities into practical product experiences, connecting complex technical systems with real business needs.

I contributed to product strategy, roadmap definition, and the development of experiences spanning multi-agent orchestration, agent playgrounds, and enterprise workflows.

Working closely with engineering and AI teams, I helped shape the platform’s evolution from MVP toward production readiness, balancing experimentation, usability, and technical scalability.

The experience strengthened my belief that the real value of AI lies not in what a model can demonstrate, but in what a product can reliably deliver.

Bilyoner

More

Building digital sports experiences where content, technology, and engagement meet.

At Bilyoner, I worked on consumer-facing sports products, bringing together product strategy, user experience, growth, and emerging technologies.

One of my most significant projects was Bahista, an AI-powered sports content experience that explored how artificial intelligence could transform the creation and delivery of sports insights.

Beyond Bahista, I contributed to products and initiatives spanning sports content, discovery, engagement, SEO, and growth.

I worked with a 10-person Scrum team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver experiences in a fast-moving, high-traffic digital environment.

My work also included complex integrations and platform initiatives, where technical dependencies, business requirements, and customer experience needed to move together.

This chapter taught me how to build products at the intersection of scale, speed, and commercial impact.

Fazla

More

Building consumer products from the ground up.

At Fazla, I worked on the development of a B2C digital product, helping transform an early-stage idea into a usable consumer experience.

My work involved product discovery, defining requirements, prioritizing features, and collaborating with teams to translate business needs into product decisions.

Working in an early-stage environment gave me valuable experience navigating ambiguity, making trade-offs, and building with limited resources.

It reinforced a principle that continues to shape my work today: the best product decisions start with a clear understanding of the problem.

Maya AI

Making grocery shopping conversational.

More

Making grocery shopping conversational

Shopping doesn’t always start with a product name. Sometimes it starts with a recipe, a question, a preference, or a simple idea of what someone needs.

Maya AI reimagines the shopping journey around those moments, turning natural conversations into meaningful shopping actions. Built for the Migros ecosystem, Maya brings together intelligent product discovery, personalized recommendations, basket building, and conversational assistance to make everyday shopping simpler.

My role

As Product Lead, I drive Maya AI’s vision, strategy, roadmap, user experience, and rollout.

Working with an 11-person cross-functional team, I lead the development of experiences spanning natural-language shopping, product recommendations, personalization, voice interactions, and transactional capabilities.

My responsibility is to connect what’s technically possible with what’s genuinely valuable to customers and the business.

Impact

  • Approximately 20% higher basket size
  • Approximately 10% higher order conversion
  • Approximately 15% higher add-to-cart conversion

The bigger picture

Maya AI represents a shift from traditional search-driven shopping toward more natural, intent-driven commerce. Instead of expecting people to adapt to an interface, the experience begins adapting to how people think, ask, and decide.

Novus DOT

Orchestrating intelligent agents into real-world workflows.

More

Making intelligent agents work together

The potential of AI agents goes far beyond individual conversations. The real opportunity emerges when intelligent systems can collaborate, coordinate actions, and solve complex problems together.

DOT is an agentic AI platform built around that possibility. It brings multi-agent orchestration, experimentation, and enterprise workflows into a product environment designed to make advanced AI capabilities more accessible and usable.

My role

As Product Manager, I contributed to DOT’s product strategy, roadmap, and platform experience.

I worked across agent orchestration, playground experiences, and enterprise use cases, translating technical capabilities into product requirements and practical workflows.

A key part of my work involved helping the platform evolve from an experimental MVP toward a more mature, production-oriented product.

The bigger picture

Building AI platforms requires more than powerful models. It requires thoughtful orchestration, reliability, usability, and a clear understanding of where intelligent automation creates real value.

DOT was an opportunity to work directly on those challenges.

Bahista

Reimagining sports content through artificial intelligence.

More

A new voice for sports content

Sports generate an endless stream of information, statistics, and stories. Bahista explored how artificial intelligence could transform that information into engaging, accessible content for sports audiences.

Built within the Bilyoner ecosystem, the project brought AI-generated content into a consumer-facing sports experience.

My role

As Product Manager, I helped shape Bahista’s product direction and user experience, connecting AI-powered content generation with the needs of sports audiences.

The work combined product thinking, content strategy, and emerging technology to explore new ways of delivering sports insights.

The bigger picture

Bahista was an early opportunity to work on AI as a customer-facing product capability. It reinforced my interest in building experiences where AI isn’t simply a feature, but an integral part of the product’s value.
